Nella metà del XV secolo si ha notizia dello sfruttamento delle acque di Bagni di Quara, presso la cui copiosa sorgente si era costituito persino uno "stabilimento" per iniziativa del feudatario Luigi da Dallo. Diversi sono i riferimenti alla sua conoscenza ed uso già in epoca romana (tanto che il borgo fu chiamato "Acquarium"): l'acqua era utilizzata per la cura di alcune malattie della pelle. Michele Savonarola, medico presso gli Este, la considerava efficace nelle malattie dello stomaco, in tutte le altre affezioni delle membra, stimolanti il sonno, l'appetito e dotate di azione lassativa. Venivano portate perfino in Francia e Spagna. Una relazione di Antonio Vallisneri riporta che anticamente esse erano chiamate "Balneum Aquarium"; anche il Ricci e Filippo Re ne sottolineano l'azione terapeutica. Il capitano Ottavio Ferrarini riporta nel disegno allegato al suo sopralluogo del 1970 l'indicazione di alcune vestigia di un antichissimo tempio. L'analisi chimica di tali acque ha evidenziato dati interessanti che permettono di definirle, in base alla legislazione vigente, come "ricche di sali minerali, contenenti bicarbonato, clorurate, sodiche".

Description: In the middle of the XV century there's information regarding exploitation of the waters of the Quara baths where due to its abundant spring a resort was created according to the wishes of the feudal vassal Luigi da Dallo. Various references about it were already being made during the Roman period (so much so that the hamlet was called "Acquarium"); the water was used to cure a few skin diseases. Michele Savonarola, doctor of the Estes, considered it effective in stomach diseases, in all other sicknesses regarding the limbs, in stimulating sleep and appetite and endowed with laxative effects. The water was even taken to France and Spain. A report of Antonio Vallisneri states that in ancient times the water was called "Balneum Acquorium"; even Ricci and Filippo Re underlined the therapeutic effect. Captain Ottavio Ferrarini reported in an attached sketch of his inspection in 1970 indications of a few ruins of a very antique temple. Chemical analysis of this water has provided interesting information, which allows it to be defined according to current legislation as "rich in mineral salts, containing bicarbonate, chloride and sodium".
